There is a delicacy in Asia - as well as schools like UC Berkeley with lots of international Asian students - called 'jelly balls' (or something). Fill the bottom of a glass with them and add tea, sell it for about $3 for a sixteen oz. serving. This concoction is known as "bubble tea".

The jelly balls are small, gel-like balls about half- the size of an American dime. They are filled with a pudding-like interior flavored with tapioca. You can drink them through an extra-wide straw with your tea.

Absolutely love the stuff..The best way of describing it is that it is flavoured tea with little lumps of flavoured jelly or tapioca. Hmmm heavenly, and you really must try some.

Its gross. It made me gag, especially when I got to those little black balls on the bottom. I describe it as a thinner, more frothy version of a milkshake. I got watermelon. It was nasty.
