In part life is samsara or suffering and in part it is Ananda or divine joy. Without suffering I do not really believe we can know what joy is. Contrast is needed to understand the other. If we only knew darkness, or light for that matter, we would be so saturated that we would know nothing at all. Be greatful for the lessons that strife can teach. Often the most beauty the sky has to offer is after the storm. Does this mean we should not seek peace, absolutely not. This world will always have plently of suffering without us adding to it. The point in life is not to avoid suffering, but to avoid needless suffering. With that said I wish upon you happiness, health and enlightenment.

I imagine that one day maybe with the help of technology we could possibly create a world without strife but sometimes I doubt that it'll ever happen.

Sure, in my dreams... as long as humans populate this earth, there will always be strife. They are such imperfect creatures that continued peace among them is impossible. Nice to dream about, though.
