I went golfing on a course today that was 6050 yards from tea to cup on each hole with a direct shot. I end up spending most of my time way out of the way of a direct shot so I walk a lot farther that that. then when you add in the walking between holes it really adds up. How many miles do you think it ends up being?

On an old fashioned country club style course, you probably walk about 4-6 miles. Links style courses are usually longer and the holes are further apart, so probably 5-7 miles.

I have heard the average person walks between 5 and 6.5 miles during a 18 hole round. Depends on how you hit the ball and if you carry your clubs or use a pull cart. When using a pull cart you have to walk around a lot of things.

John's answer is extremely precise and authentic to my own studies. A 6,500 backyard course, with each and each of the facet to facet version required to discover your ball equals approximately 5 miles of strolling. Then, upload the area from green to tee container into the equation. One extensive variable is whether or no longer or no longer it extremely is a course laid out by using a residential section or on a single tract of land. Residential classes are set up so as that the mximum sort of human beings have 'golfing course assets', so there oftentimes would be in elementary terms one or 2 holes according to block, this could deliver approximately walks as long as one-quarter mile from one green to the subsequent tee container. this could actual upload a mile or greater to the area walked for no actual reason. as a results of fact of this lots of those forms of classes require carts. So i could say the subject-unfastened course could require approximately seven miles for one 18-hollow around.
