Single people may seem so happy with the way they act and laugh but are they really happy in the middle of the night when its cold and lonely.

Family makes a one person complete. Its not about your gorgeous wife, beautiful house, or even a big account in the bank. Its about the kids... raising them and seeing your dreams is the best part of raising kids.

I do not think one group is happier than the other. Stages of life is like a stair-case. You are always looking forward to step to the next step. So as single and married people. You know whether you tired of stepping up or rather stand on the same step. There is always a disadvantage and advantages in each step that cause happiness or unhappiness.

Same with singles and marriage people. You are either happy been single or want to get married and avoid the unhappiness in the single stages. Marriage people either happy or sad in the marriage and therefore, decide whether to move back to single life until they are ready to move back into marriage or work out the marriage and move forward.

I think generally married people are happier. It gets old fast waking up by yourself in the morning, especially days like Christmas.

I think Im less stressed out since my divorce, but I miss being married somedays, I deffintly wish we would have shacked up for a while though, I get to do what I want now, If I want to get a beer and steak I do it, and no wife nagging me, Its a toss up though I think it depends on the wife, next time I'll be looking for more passive qualities

Being happy is a state of mind. It doesn't matter what someone's relationship status is. But there are probably experiments that have happened that determined which set of people seem to be more happy. I don't think they're valid though b/c people change their perception all the damn time.

singles are hap[pier only when they try to make themselves believe they are happier.
Let's face it.. the older you are.. the more you want to be with someone...
While you are young well.. a diferent story.. when ytoua re young you don't know what you want so you seem to be happier when single....

Anyhow facts prove two things.. married persons live longer... and are happier throughout life.

I think everyone likes to believe that the grass is always greener. You can be happy either way. Just somedays, when you are single, you are lonely and wish you were with someone, and sometimes when you are married, you wish you were alone, or wish you were with someone else.

well, you cannot say it is totally true. Each of them can be happy in some way. Being single gives a space and total independency. On the other hand , being married , you share your life with someone who you "in love" with....

Everyone thinks the grass is greener wherever they are not. Single people (or homosexual couples) want to be married, marrieds want to be single and have their freedom. Are we ever truly happy with what we have?
