According to Jesus, "I and the Father are one". Regarding the end of the world, Jesus said "no man, not the angels, nor the Son, but only the Father knows the date." If Jesus (the Son) is the same as the Father, how can Jesus not know the date of Armegeddon?

Yes, I understand that Christians believe that Jesus was God. But if he was God, surely he would know when he would return.

wva_butterfly, you're telling me, that, according to Christian belief, Jesus (being God) will tell himself to come back? Quite Absurd!

He is not the father.
He is the witness of God.

Are you questioning a mystery of GOD? I don't care when the World will end ,I don't care if Jesus knows it or not. I just wanna know why HE created it at the first place . By the way God the Father and God the son are one but they have different brain. That is why Jesus had to learn from God the Father. God the son never killed but God the do it all the time. That is the difference I guess.

No, only God know the end...he will tell his son Jesus to come and bring his Children home.....
If you are a christian you are also of the trinity Father, Son and Holy Ghost.... And you do not know the end....

Good QUESTION. Maybe Jesus did not know at that time, in the flesh of a man.??? The way I understand it is that God will hand over the title deed to the earth to Jesus and Jesus will inherit the throne. (Ruling over the new kingdom.) It is impossible to know God's thoughts or plans. (Or what God will do next when He hands over the new kingdom to His Son.)

I know you know this, but I'll write this anyway.
GOD IS GOD and JESUS IS GOD.
Now you know JESUS was talking to humans over 2000 years ago, you see how smart we are now - we were dumber then. HE kept it as SIMPLE as HE could - AND NO ONE UNDERSTOOD ANYTHING HE SAID.
And tonight I read your question - trying to push peoples buttons.
Give it a rest, please.
When you talk to children you talk using words they will understand. Oh, were so much smarter now - no way.
GOD and JESUS are one in the same - humans will fight this because we can't think outside our little box - that the rules we know are the rules there are. If we can't understand it - it must be falce, a lie. Well sorry humans will never understand GOD, so please use your time HELPING people, not picking on them.
Your well read - teach people. Trust yourself.
P.S. Yes, JESUS knows everything.

While Christ was on earth and had divested Himself of all of his independent attributes, even he didn't know when He would be coming back. Now He sits at the right hand of the Father. He knows. I found this information at the Turning Point website of Dr. David Jeremiah June 27th under show archives.

Hope this helps.

Trying to fully understand the Trinity is like trying to fully understand God Himself. We know that God said that He is one and yet represents Himself through three different entities. Obviously, He has allowed for some independence within each, for now we know and understand in part, one day we will know in full. Until then....

Jesus and the Father are one in purpose, but not one in the same. No, Jesus does not know the day or the hour when it will happen.

MY ANSWER WOULD BE "NO", BECAUSE THE BIBLE SAYS "NO MAN......." SO, SINCE JESUS WAS A MAN IN THE FLESH AND IS THE SON OF GOD, I AM LEANING TOWARDS "NO." HOWEVER, THE ARGUMENT STILL STANDS BECAUSE THE BIBLE SAYS (PARAPHRASING) "I AND MY FATHER ARE ONE..." AND IF GOD KNOWS, SHOULDN'T JESUS ALSO, IF THEY ARE ONE? IT'S CONFUSING...WHO KNOWS. I TRY NOT TO THINK ABOUT IT AND GET TOO TECHNICAL. I JUST TRY TO MAKE SURE THAT "WHENEVER" IT ENDS, I'M IN A PLACE THAT'S NOT ETERNAL PUNISHMENT AND THAT SPEAKS FOR ITSELF!
