They're rude because its LA. I work in a small DMV office in Northern California, and everyone there is nice. I used to work in a bigger office, and I would just cringe when I heard how some customers were talked to. But I transfered to a much nicer office.

I think LA is just too crowded, and everyone gets on everyone elses nerves. Move out of LA.

I just moved from L. A. to a small town in Idaho, I dreaded going to the D.M.V. to get my new licence and plates. Guess what? They were very nice and I did everything in about 15 minutes, even got my pic taken and drivers licence the same day, also my plates! I think it's just the people in L.A. Most of them are oriental now and can't speak English. Those poor people working at the D.M.V. are just plain fed up, just as I was getting in my job working with the public. Move to Idaho, where the people treat you like a real person!!!!!!!!!!

It sort of comes with the territory in LA. Being over crowded and having to deal with so many people per day...some who has limited English, wears on you after a while. This is not an excuse but hour after hour, day after day, week after week, month after month takes a toll on ones nerve and makes them raw and ragged. I can guarantee you that nearly all of them would rather be some place else...each and every day.

I live in Milwaukee county, and i think our local DMV is gonna get shot up one of these years. The police have been called there numourus times. I could just hear it on the news now. The news hellocopter would be broadcasting live from the crime scene.

If you think it is bad there, you should try the local office in Washington DC. I honestly can tell you it is the worst in the country. People are rude, stupid and the whole process in DC is a nightmare if not a joke!
