greetings.... when the phrase "to a T" is used it usually means the T square of a constructioneer's tool. most commonly know as the T square. when manufacturing a piece of plywood, a T square would be used to bring together two adjoining lines for which to be drawn, then cut. hense the phrase "to a T"
