Israel made so many blunders in this conflict it is no wonder they lost. Hezbollah is going to put a whipping on their asses when they regroup.

I love Bush and his hate for Italian Muslims (Islamo-Fascists).
Any way to the Question, You can only say that Israel has won the fight if
1. Hezbollah gives back the two soldiers by force or they are found and returned home without a prisoner swap.
2. If Israel pushes Hezbollah all the way past the Litani River.
3. If Israel eradicates Hezbollah.
Not even one of these accomplishments can be claimed for Israel, so I would have to say they have been defeated.
Bush and Israel are like a couple of big black dudes with an attitude, they just seem to go around starting S H I T with everyone. The only difference is that the big black dude usually wins.

Judge for your self who has won. Bush and Olmert both have made fools of themselves and degraded US in eyes of many nations and people, particularly after their latest Lebanon misadventure. US has lost its diplomatic persuasion with most of the Arab countries. What have they accomplished after killing so many innocent civilians including children ( Israelis and Lebanese ) and devastating a beautiful country ? To ensure an effective defence, which most of the Arab armies are incapable of doing, Lebanon should induct all the Hezbollah fighters into the Lebanese army. This may deter Israel from picking on Lebanon, which it has done 4 times uptill now. US has become an unwilling partner as this tail is capable of wagging the dog

If you put it this way, then yes. But personally, I think everyone has lost, especially the Lebanese people.
We have been bombed back to the stone age, we need 2 billion USD just to reconstruct what was destroyed, and let me tell you, we do not have it. More than 1000 have been killed, only less than 1/2 being Hizbollah members, and many many of the rest not even being supporters of Hizbollah, but having no means & nowhere to go (and please save your comments on what u saw on CNN, check other less stereotyping stations). So many companies have closed & thousands of young people just like you out of jobs. So many people have left in chase of lost dreams, me being one of them.
We are not all Hizbollah! In fact, there are 18 sects in Lebanon, many of which are against Hizbollah & we want them disarmed as much as the next person. But not at this price. We also do not want to be occupied, by Israel or anyone else. But I guess this is not understandable for people living thousands of miles away who have never had to go thru these dire circumstances...
Please stop trying to name the victor, this is still not over.

Bush has to defend Israel, he is the sponcor for all "Sois Disant" war on terrorisrm, Isarel is USA' lap dog. So what do you expecpt.
I think the matter is bigger then what it seems. it is problem with syria and iran but they use lebanon as football field.
I dont like israelis too, i dont think they represent peace at all. for 60 years since they stole the land of palestinian, they keep making problems in the area and the world look at them. Why they spomcor them to keep making trouble, making the area unsafe, making promlem so there is no stability and for arms sale troo. If it is peaceful who need to purchase arms. so usa and europe military industries stops. they depends on israel to keep trouble up, they get 10 % of the profit. But i am glad that hizbolla did kick the israelis *** , for once a tiny arab land can do damage to isarel.

Yes, I would agree this is a victory of sorts for Hezbollah. Israel should have stuck to their guns and finished what they started. Israel did not and Hezbollah will gain momentum and power in their community for it.

true i think hezbollah embarrassed israel....and hezbollah did sooo much damage with those old age katuyshas and they didnt even use the iranian made zelzals and i heard iranians r building missiles of all kinds to hit aircrafts...attack ground troops...iran is specialising in this field..i think iran told them not to use the more hi-tech missiles so they dont show their hand to israel or america...thats wat i think..but dunno...i think if hezbollah wanted they could hit the most southern part of israel...

Shows you what we are up against, and it won't be pretty!
I think the US has had the worst foreign policy in the history of the US! Of course, it is hard to have one when you are the one going around breaking all the rules!
Kind of makes you wonder who would be dumb enough to invade Iraq!
