Do high school girls go for the guys with better looks or the ones you call "sweethearts". I dont think i am very "hot" but a lot of girls say that i am one of the nicest guys in the grade. What is your opinions on the subject.

Personally, I feel there is a difference between liking someone versus thinking they have good looks. (Not to mention, I perfer not to call a guy "hot" or anything - though I might do so at times.)
I think I might be a slightly different kind of "high school girl" from the stereotype. I don't see how can one person like another without really knowing them - like talking to them quite a bit; being friends. After all, good looks are just the outer surface. Just seeing how they interact with friends might be different compared to how they interact with you and others. Besides, that is how I base my perspective on them - not on how they look, but for who they are on the inside. The inside finds a way to the outside - their personality can make a guy "cute", good manners can make them "dashing", and so on.
The way I see it, guys who are "sweethearts" are the kind that I go for. Looks are only a plus. ;D Haha. But really - have you heard the saying "Nice guys finish last?" I think not necessarily. If you are really a nice guy - truthful, honest, reliable, easy to talk to, and all that great stuff, then any girl will be lucky to be with you. :3

As a freshman girl in high school I like guys that are sweethearts more than the "hot" guys. Looks don't matter much to me, but the guy has to look decent.

I am not a high school student, but a college student. When I was in high school you get caught in the moment. You always want who's hot, but I will tell you what the secret is.
The key to a beautiful person is not what they look like its what is in their mind and in their heart. What you have to be is willing to look past the looks because some people who know they are hot, usually have horrible personalities. It is what you have to offer to someone mentally. You grow from one another by what you can teach others. What is living life if you have nothing to give or to share with someone special.

it depends on the girl.. i personally used to go for the "hott" guys but i learned that those guys are usually really bad at relationships and dont really know what they are doin...now i go for the sweethearts and i have noticed that they know how to treat a girl right and looks arent as important and the mind...

i'll be a senior in high school this year. personally, looks don't really matter to me. but there's A LOT of stuck up bitches that only care about looks. i can nalmost garuantee that there will be a bunch of girls that like you throughout the years, but they won't say anything. i never did. confidence, sense of humor, and (sometimes) being shy, are actually babe-magnets.
but hey... once you're with a girl you really love, don't EVER let her go. and ALWAYS let her know that you love her.

when girls say your nice, that means that either A) your really sweet and kind and they dont know how to tell you that they LOVE YOU or B) they think of you as a brother and absolutley think of you as the nicest guys ever! ...... to be honest, girls DO tend to notice the "hotter" guys first, but we also know that they are all jerks deep down, just put yourself out there and be true to yourself! i know that sounds cliche' but its very REAL!
