My brother has anger issues and the rest of my family acts like they hate him for it. I know my mom cares but my sister acts like she doesn't. I understand him a little and try to help him as much as i can. it doesn't seem to be enough. He sometimes gets violent and threatens us. I don't know how to help him.

My family went through the same thing a little while back with my brother.

My suggestion is, try taking him to counseling or anger management because if his anger isn't dealt with it'll end up boiling over one day and he could end up hurting someone. Try going together as a family to begin with and see how that works, or it may be better for him to see someone one on one.

And about your sister, that was me when my family was going through this. I hated my brother because of the way he treated us and I couldn't have cared less if he stayed or if my parents sent him away. But once things started improving, my attitude towards him got better. The situation with your brother is a lot for her to deal with and her way of dealing is to act like she doesn't care, so don't worry about her, she'll get over it with time.

Some people just have a lot of anger in them for no real reason, he should channel it into something, like a sport or some other activity. Or you and him should just sit down and have an open and honest discussion of whats bothering. And I'm not trying to sound corny.

i know what he means because I used to have anger problems a simple way to do it is to ask him to vent his anger on something else like a video game or ask him to go to therapy because if he really cares he will do it and don't call the cops because if you do he'll have more of a reason to express his anger on you and your family

take him to psychiatric, and I think all of your family should talk about this matter to him when he get relax. He's got to have a treatment and support from all of you.
