Sweetie, it is all in your genes. You can't make yourself grow taller. You may even have a growth spurt in your twenties. Look at your relatives to predict how tall you may grow to be. Unless you possess a recessive gene for tallness, you just may not get much taller. However, my parents were considered short: mom 5'2" and dad 5'7". I am 5'9" Both their names are on my birth certificate so I doubt I was adopted.
In any case be happy for your health! You run and are active! Great for you. You can always wear high heeled shoes or platform shoes. Although these are mostly for girls.
The real point though is to WALK TALL! Be proud of yourself and your accomplishments! This will make you look and feel 10 feet tall!

Growing is really a balance of Genes and enviorment, you really can't have one without the other, so since you're 16 you still have some time to grow, and not everyone is an early bloomer you might just have a few inches more to grow.

I cannot tell you what you can do to grow, but i can tell you what you can do to prevent growth stop.

No weight lifting that will close the way that the normal bone expands, Eat healthy, that's including vegetables and fruits, Aerobic exercises, walking jogging all of that will help.

Keep in mind if you have any conditions like liver failure, renal failure and or using steroids for any reason this by all means will stun your growth and you should always talk with your doctor before starting any exercises regimen

The following Prescription of Homeopathic Remedies will help any youngster in gaining height: -
1.BACILLINUM 200
2.BARYTA CARB 200
Three drops each in a sip of water just once a week.

Follow it up with these Tissue Salts: -
1.CALC PHOS 6X
2.NAT MUR 6X
3.SILICEA 6X
Four tablets each all together 3 times a day half hour before meals on an empty stomach. After finishing the whole bottles of these salts (30 Days).
If you feel that they are not making a positive difference just raise the potency of these three salts and get them in 30 instead of 6X and keep taking them till they start showing positive results.
It would help the most in teenage years when you are in your growing period.
Keep me posted about your progress.
Take care and God Bless you

You're young and you will still grow taller. If you can find a height increasing vitamin, that would really help. It also helps if you get the right amount of sleep and eat the proper food.

Why are you complaing I am 20 years old and not even 5ft tall I have learned that there is nothing you can do but learn to accept it. I am only 4'8 or 4'9 so I am shorter than you i always wanted to be at least 5ft tall but now I know that won't happen so you learn to live with it.

Yes I even wish I was a few inches taller, but no, there's no way to grow taller, unless your body naturally does. Hope this helped!

Sleep a lot. Growth hormone is released when you're sleeping. Also, make sure you eat healthy foods and get plenty of calcium. Avoid lifting weights or anything that's more than 5 pounds above your body weight.
