NO...... but would the communist like it if they find out that you are a Catholic? Or are you just a communist fan by philosophical study? It is different when you want to act and embrace communism than live actually in a communist society. Since I sense that you are in the US, I would say you are not a real Communist yet. Am I right?

Communism isn't a sin at all. In fact, the very, very early church ran on communist principles. They divided their resources to give everyone an equal share so there wouldn't be poor widows and orphans oppressed by wealthy land owners. It's a pretty Christian idea when you think about it.
Of course, people are sinners by nature so this idealistic idea doesn't last long when it's implemented. If I'm remembering correctly, though, it did work with the early church for quite a while.

It's not a sin as far as I am concerned. But them I am an avid Atheistic Christian Agnostic. If there is such a thing..Anyway, communism, at least in part based on it's founders own words, has usually been an atheistic way of life. But not required.I think communism would probably have made Jesus happy.Everyone getting taken care of and no big guy stepping on the little guy because everyone would be the middle guy.

No. As I understand it (and I could be wrong) but the the socialist concept behind communism is where all the money supposedly goes into a pot (so to speak) and is divided evenly among all, rather than having some be extremely rich and some be extremely poor. There are some sound principles to the concept, but obviously it is not fool proof.

Communism is not christian. I'm sorry, and i don't hate anyone, much less a fellow catholic, but the values and ideas of communism, as evidenced by past communist nations, always lead to the oppression and persecution of religion.

APOCALYPSE YA,
I think that the word "hate" is used too much on this board. A disagreement, even a rant, does not mean "hate."
Accusing someone of hate, I have considered, is just a defense mechanism. You don't have to defend yourself through communication if you just claim hatred.
It's so unintelligent to do that for every disagreement.
To answer your question:
No. I would not hate you for being either one. You have the right to believe those things. I won't agree with them, but you can.

communism is only bad when it's forced. communism is believed to be the final outcome of all religion, but if it's forced and in a large group it fails. that leads to barbarism. it's not a sin to believe in equality for all.
I am catholic, you are catholic, you may be muslim, jew, hindu, buddhist, sikt, etc. you are my brother, and so i should love you
