You can cook with Heart Smart and Saffola, it really is a good replacement, you won't notice much of a difference. With foods where the margarine or butter isn't concealed in the recipe, I prefer to eat butter on foods that it is apparent, such as bread & butter or toast. I cut back on my fats but I'd rather have the real thing when possible, just less of it. The same goes for mayonnaise.

So, butter is #1!!!!

Me too. I found out about trans fats and how partially hydrogenated vegetable oils and how they clog your veins worse than natural fats, even animal fats, is when I switched. Most margarine is just whipped oil with added fake butter flavor. Not to mention, if you use margarine in baking, especially cookies, it ruins what you bake. Animal fats are best for flaky pie crusts too. And margarine tastes like crap on seafood when melted. Butter is just yummy yummy yummy.....

Grab a big ol' stick of butter and munchy munchy.
Wait, I dont do that! However, my husband says his grandpa used to slice butter and eat it like that. (blech)
That said, Butter is the best to use on everything. I dont use margarine at all anymore.

Butter....yum....try some of the unusual butters in your local supermarket from Ireland or France! They do actually taste different because of what the cows eat over there....Super yummy!

Butter for sure, but in small amounts. For example a dab on the last bite of food.
