Are they still alive? Dead? I haven't found any additional information on these 2 men, whose kidnapping started the intense battle between Israel and Hezbollah, and am curious.

And don't say stupid things like "its just a cover story, theyr were no soldiers kidnapped" when that's something you can't prove. This isn't a platform for stupid liberal bumper sticker sayings. I just want to know information- not some leftist bs.

SERIOUSLY PEOPLE!!!!!! All I wanna know is what happened to the soldiers. I don't wanat to hear any whimpering, rants, or ANYONE'S personal opinions on ANYTHING. I just want a simple fact. IS THAT SO HARD TO DO??????? Thank you though, to those who know how to answer a simple straight-forward question.

they've slipped into oblivion ... Israel used the two soldiers to start a war that it has been planning for months ... the timing of the soldiers was just too perfect. in the past, they've had tens of soldiers kidnapped with no retaliation ... but articles have come out today showing that the US helped Israel plan an attack on Lebanon to set an example for Iran (too bad it meant sacrificing lebanon, the only democracy in the arab world). remember the WMDs that got us into Iraq? well the 2 soldiers were Israel's WMDs to get into Lebanon. they'll get them back ... eventually. but I cant tell u honestly how or in wat state! I will tell u Israel has gotten dead soldiers killed and cut up into pieces before.

The UN decided they had no value - my guess is today was their last day. Why keep them alive? No bargaining chip needed with UN, Hezbollah got a free ride.

Discussions have now opened for their safe return. Pity no-one thought of this a month ago.
