There are two things in the specs that indicate that the camera is unlikely to make good pics:
. At this time the CMOS type sensor is not good in a low priced camera. This technology is expensive when done correctly (as in expensive d-SLR's), but the low priced versions are not good.
Look for a "CCD" type sensor.
. This camera only offers digital zoom. This means it zooms by "stretching" a picture, rather than actually magnifying it.
Look for "Optical" zoom.
But you do not have to get too "pricey" to get a decent starter camera. Lots of places have models of name brand cameras for $100 to $150.
Some have fewer features or are older models. But they will still have 3 MP's, CCD sensors and Optical Zooms. And they will take attractive pics for you.
Take some time and go shopping!
Good Luck

Hi!Ummm...No....There Not.I Was At Walmart,And Bought A $20.00 Digital Camera,And Its A Piece Of Crap.It Doesent Even Work With My Computer. And Then When You Have To Download The Software To Access The Pictures You Took Is Another Story. So I Would Highly NOT Recommend One.But You Would Be Better Off Just Buying A Camera Phone.Thats In My Opinion. And If You Want Good Decent Quality,You Need 2 Get A Pricey Camera Or Get A Razr.

If it's too good to be true, then it's probably is. Most likely its picture quality will be bad and that's the main thing about a digital camera. How's the picture quality? You can cram the latest gizmos into a digital camera but the true test will always be the picture quality.
There are good and cheap 'budget' cameras around. . Settle on budget. Make a list of camera within the budget and do some research.Read some reviews first on the 'Net or otherwise.

NO. I hate digital cameras. People blow lots of money on one, and in a year, they will be replaced with a bigger [er..smaller] camera. And sometimes people's computers aren't compatible with the camera anymore because it gets outdated.
I use a good old fashioned 1967 Rollei 35S camera and a 1929 Soho Cadet 120 folding camera. These things are built like tanks. They have already lasted years and years, and will probably outlive me....
Anyway, good luck!

Keep in mind the price is biased somewhat on the mega pixels you select. The higher mega pixels the higher the price. It also depends on they type of use you need. Sports and fast action require a higher shutter speed while family shots a lower shutter speed is OK.

That would probably work out ok for you.. depending on how serious a photographer you intend to be with it. If there's a return policy I would get it and try it, return it if it doesn't work for you..
Generally, as with all things, you get what you pay for. The specs look decent though. Notice, I say decent, not good.

I would hold off and wait to buy a better qualilty camera. You can get a decent one for 40.00-50.00 bucks more. I bought my daughter a cheap digital for Christmas last year (I paid 75.00)_ and that was all it was worth. Very flimsy and toy like...total waste. Cheap is dear, they say, so go for the better one.

Because you need to ask I am assuming that you are an amateur like most of us, Unless you are going to be publishing any of your photos, There is absolutely nothing wrong with a camera like that.
