how do i know if a guy is inlove with his bestfriend?

I have a friend who is really very close to me. We chat often and share most of our interest. we ever share secrets with each other.I had a crush over him long before, but i thought it'll be better for us to be "just friends" coz at the fisrt place i dont wanna ruin the friendship. Until such time he told me he's falling for somebody else. Its so hard to still pretend to be " just a friend" when he's sharing me all their sweet moments together. We're still bein' friends, only that, i wanted to get over him so i decided to divert my feelings to another guy. Ive met a guy whom i did love, but the relationship didnt last. I was really badly hurt,....I even end up crying..When my bestfrind learned about it. he was really convinced to STOP me from dating guys again coz they might cheat me and i'll only get hurt. He said its better to be alone than to be in love with someone.I was a bit confused coz he seem there seem to be consistencies in his remarks. Cud that mean anythi

if he kisses back just like a friend, then he is just a friend

if he kisses back with passion, he loves you

you need to keep this to yourself for now. if it's too hard to see him with another woman then add distance, but you can't make a move as long as he is with someone else. there is nothing more trashy then being the "other woman" (or man for that matter)... if you make a move he may be repulsed by your disrespect for his relationship (his decision, in other words) and may end your friendship. try your best to be happy for them for now, most of these things end eventually and you two will likely have another chance when timing is right.
