There are plenty. But you have to be very very cautious as taking any strong herbal preparation could affect the effectiveness of chemo or radiation therapy. There is no solid evidence todate for any herb to have cured cancer. But most could improve the body's immune system to help delay or avoid recurrence of the cancer.

be very careful about what herbs you take. Many of the herbs block the effects of chemo. Ask your oncologist about what to take. Also check out the cancer treatment centers of america. There big thing is mixing herbs and chemo together. I don't work there but I have herd some positive things about it www.ctca.org

I do! billions of dollars have been spent on cancer research, yet more and more people die of cancer each year. So why let a doctor and his team spend a few years of cutting away at your body, zapping you with radiation ( which I might add, will cause cancer cells to spread and grow)! I watched as my grandmother died slowly over a 4 year period.Surgery after surgery the doctor would tell her(we got it all this time) 2 or 3 months later it was back.I say no thanks to all that suffering! I believe the Chinese have a handle on illnesses with their herbs!

I don't know about Chinese but when I was getting my chemo treatments I took Maitake mushroom d-fraction which derived from Japan. I helps keep your immune system strong which is very important during chemo. Also I did not get sick to my stomach nor did I ever get a cold during my whole year and half of treatments. I don't know for sure if it was from the mushroom or not but I believe it was. I got the liquid form and I know it has to be d-fraction. I would put about 20 drops in ginger ale three times a day. You don't have to put it in anything but it tasted better to me in the ginger ale. I would recommend you to read about before you try it. Good Luck.

Chinese medicine is based on herbs that have healing properties. Oddly enough, many chemotherapeutics are plant derivatives. I would steer clear from herbs if you are taking chemo.

You need to ne VERY careful when using any herbs along with medication. Medications are usually extracted from herbal remedies (Asprin is extracted from willow bark, which was origionally used in a tea as a pain releiver) Because you're taking a drug, even if its in it's origional form, you can have drug interactions with negative consequences. You could make something ineffective, or more effective, or even make a toxic combination. You should talk with your doctor before you add ANY herbal suppliment.

Everyone wants money. These people just want their share too. They aren't going to help.
