I am sick of dying my hair to cover the grey roots and am willing to just let it go to see what it will look like BUT what works best - streaks or what? I hate the 8 months of looking like some idiot waiting for the "line" to pass an acceptable length before cutting. You KNOW what I mean.,...

and yeah, I am a 40 year old woman who has been wearing a pony tail for almost a month.........not my best look LOL

and no temp colors hold on the grey so thanks for the idea but shampooing a color in won't do anything for the line which is growing ............

hard thing to do
you bite the bullet and let it grow out
get monthly half to one inch trims
and resist the temptation to go back to color

my aunt put it up and pinned it, no trims just let it grow for six months and then went in for a new style, looks great on her

No other way. I have same problem. Use perm for a while...curly hair will cover some of them.

temporary dyes only last about a month so you will be redoing them, but you wont look funky while your hair is growing out.

i don't thing there is any good solution for this, but try maybe coloring shampoo close to your natural hair color.
