The general rule is: Anyone who brings you food as part of their job should get a tip. At least 15%.

I try to whenever I am at Sonic. I have noticed that if you use a credit card, then you are not able to give a tip, (not giving the option), so then, it is not your fault that you are not able to tip.
It is a very good thing to do and I think expected in some cases.
Hope that this helps. Ü

i do not recognize the position you stay that waitress's make $3.50 an hr reason right here in TN and surrounding states they're in uncomplicated words paid $2.13 an hour plus assistance. i'm no longer constructive what the vehicle hops at Sonic make yet i'm constructive that it is not minimum salary and it truly is immediately ahead courtesy to tip them. in case you artwork as a bartender then you definately might want to recognize this and there might want to be no questions about it.

I always tip at Sonic drive in and drive thru. They are preforming a service for you and if you feel they are deserving it would be proper to tip them.

I never tip!

I go there normally 2 or 3 times a week for drinks. All they do is bring the food to you, it's not like they come back for refills or anything.

We don't tip drive thru workers, why should we tip them?

Hi,
Of course, he,she is trying to make an living onminimumwage, everything helps...If she/he is pleasant that is a plus, your order was exactly how you ordered ir, thats another plus, but if she was rude abd din't make an honest effort to fix your incorrect order than I wouldn't tip her even 10%(maybe, she was having a really bad day,try putting your self in his/her shoes. Generally I tip 20%,if someone really tries .......I hope this bit on tipping helps.....

I'm a tipping fool; I like getting the warm fuzzies. Why the hell not, help make somebody's day, it can really pay off.

You're supposed to because they were nice enough to bring your stuff out to you, but I think it depends on how good of a job they do. If they take forever then I wouldn't.

I wouldn't and don't. Waiters and waitresses make like $3 an hour. Sonic carhops make at least minimum wage, and sometimes more. Its just not fair.
