I think 2-3 times a month is good enough. I do the same too. Bathing them 2-3 times enough won't harm their skin. After her walks, just wash her paws with dog shampoo. She should be fine =).

My dog hasn't had a bath in 3 years, she is an inside dog, doesn't smell at all. She weighs 60lbs and hates baths. I just brush her 3-4 times a week.

Unless your dog gets really dirty often, the once a month is plenty. Brushing is important for any breed and should help keep them well groomed. Shed reducing wipes also work good to remove excess hair without exposing your dog to more drying baths.

It really all depends on breed of dog, messiness of dog, and skin and fur condition of dog. I like to bathe my Yorkies every 2 weeks, as they are close to the ground, ,my friend has one she has to bathe once a week, because her fur is greasy.
If my dogs roll in something nasty they get one more often. The most important thing is to use dog shampoo, and rinse, rinse, rinse. Shampoo left on skin or fur can cause skin problems.

I bathe my pug about once a week to once every week & 1/2.....she tends to get VERY stinky very fast so its necessary as she stays indoors except to potty & go for walks. I using oatmeal shampoo & she doesnt have any dry skin problems & we're all much happier when "THE STINK" has been tamed!! LOL

I wash mine 4 times a month.. every week, it stays inside ,but my Son takes the dog with him alot , so I bathe him regularly. Doesn't bother his skin.

I bathe mine once a month in winter and once a week in summer because they get more smelly. If you use good quality appropriate soap free shampoo, it doesn't cause any problems.

If it's her feet that smell, you can just wash the feet. They have sweat glands in between the toes.

Once a month is all that is needed unless they get into something stinky and then it is okay to bathe them. My chihuahuas are house dogs and once a month is all they need. They are very clean.

My dog gets into something about every 2 weeks, and I have to bathe her. If you are worried about her skin drying out, you can add a litttle oil or oily fish to her diet.
