Some people have tattoos of bible verses, hypothetically, if you were to get such a tattoo what would it say? (This question is extended to muslims, jews, etc. for your holy books and etc.)

Some religions consider tattoo destruction of the body (and i disagree) so in that case what is your favorite line or verse.

For the record i believe tattoo is art and conveys a feeling or an ideal, practiced as the earliest known art form. I don't know people's personal views on tattoo so it's: what is your favorite or what could represent you, if you had to keep it all your life?

I choose Matthew 7:1

Judge not, so that you may not be judged.

please keep this a hate free zone.

we don't have a holy scripture in my religion but plenty of sayings...

here's two that I would get:

"Well-behaved women rarely make history..."

or

"An it harm none, do as ye will."

I'm Wiccan by the way.

Hard to say.. I have a few tattoos now, some of which I would probably not get again if I could do it over, but ultimately I can live with 'em anyway..

If I do get any more it likely would be bible verses. There are far too many to choose, but maybe one of these:

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Rev 21:4
He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.

Luke 5:4(b)
"Put out into deep water, and let down your nets for a catch."

Luke 15:32(b)
...this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.

Christians are nicely conscious that it replaced into written by utilising many diverse arms. even nevertheless, reckoning on the Christian in question they might have diverse techniques approximately who wrote the e book. some beleive that the Bible is God's very own notice as he worked with the aid of those arms that wrote it and stimulated them, some have faith that it replaced into written by utilising people who experienced God's works first hand. some would take all of it thoroughly actually whilst others will veiw the accepted public as being a metaphor from situations whilst we've been much less smart as a species and mandatory issues to be broken down in less complicated to comprehend words. To Christians the Bible is Holy because of the fact they suspect it is composed of, a minimum of in some section, God's very own techniques and words as to how the international works, what befell in historical situations, tells you the way to stay and what you may assume when you die. there are assorted philosophical justifications for the life of God [all of which fail to electrify me for my section] and so some human beings do have faith that God exists, wherein case little faith is had to have faith that he would have written, in some vogue [IE with the aid of prophets] assorted texts. there is a few information that activities contained in the Bible unquestionably did happen, and so there is a few justification for believing factors of it, and in case you have faith in God and have the Christian mentality of religion without information, then that's quite ordinary to work out how they might beleive the factors different religions do no longer. additionally, there is no longer something 'basically' approximately books. Books are techniques made genuine, and methods are eternal and efficient issues. Books have began wars, been motivations for murders and smear campaigns, have been the source of secret socieities, have held the main scandalous secrets and methods and a few efficient truths. Books are to no longer be underestimated.

"Leviticus 19:28 You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you: I am the LORD. "

Scripture aside, I think a small and simple cross (or star) is all that would be tasteful.
