What did you hate about it exactly? Its length or writing style? Please please don't say it has nothing to do with society. The clues to the future are written in the past. Ladies, especially..omg could you imagine the ridicule you'd get for wearing blue jeans? Yes life changes, but only because we pay attention. The US for example is still lacking a basic right of freedom to individuals simply because the love differently from others. Only 50 years ago it was illegal for a black person to marry a white one. I'd say the book is a disheartening reminder of where we once were.

So you hate this book ok. This is one of the greatest peaces of literature ever written. so why not do away with all the great works. Understand, everyone has their on likes and dislikes, but to say ban it from existence.

It's a pretty accurate depiction of the social attitudes of it's time. The story is an unfortunate one, and what happened to the characters was a tragedy, but we cannot grow as a society and learn from our mistakes if we refuse to learn what those mistakes were.

It's about intolerance, bigotry and hypocrisy - all traits that are destroying our country and our world. The problem is that it's style doesn't appeal to kids (didn't in the "olden days" of your parents and grandparents either). Maybe if you try to overlook the archaic language and see if you can recognize any similar characters in your neighborhood you'll be able to tolerate it.

That's a great idea. Let's ban and destroy all the books that you don't like. We'll be a society raised on X-Men comics. *rolling eyes*

That's a pretty cool book. We need to have a bunch of different colored letters, so everybody can have one.
