i love homemade canolis what is the name of the nuts that should be on the ends I use chocolate chips and chpped marchino cherries inside as that is my favorite flavors

The Canoli's with an original recipe call for the nut Pistachio's. If you want to add additional flavor you can make Jello Pistachio pudding and place it inside, this is also a great option for holidays where you may want to use this as a dessert for Christmas (if you observe) and the maraschino cherries make it a nice dessert with the holiday theme. Now for 4th of July use blueberries and maraschino cherries.
