Your hair doesn't build up a resistance, rather it leaves a build up on your hair.
That is why you should alternate between brands.
One to add body, shine whatever (which leaves deposits) and another which just cleans it without leaving anything behind.
That way you get to condition your hair and get it do what you want it to but also clean it up from time to time so it reacts properly.

Your hair doesn't build a resistance, the shampoo builds up on the hair shaft. Use a gentle cleansing shampoo, and don't use it every day if you can help it. Also, try baby shampoo...works well, without the build up...

yes, shampoos should be changed 1 a month to make sure hair is getting best nutrients and minerals they get. also to stop them getting bored of the same type of shampoo over and over again. alternating would be a terrificc idea.

It builds a resitance because your hair is like your body. If you use the same thing for too long, your body gets immune to it. So if you use the same shampoo for too long, your hair is going to get immune to it, so switching back and forth is a good thing.

You might want to clarify your scalp.
You get buy some baby shampoo and mix it up with a little baking soda.
After you do that, you do have to deep condition really well, though.
This might help you. Because it sound like you have buildup.
