He would need another type of test to determine whether he's the father or not. Why hasn't he gotten another done if paying child support is an issue? It's hard to say if he's BSing you, he could be telling the truth. I think if he really wanted to prove that he's not the child's father, he would have another test done. It may be that he has a good feeling that he's the child's father and doesn't want to prove it for good?

for the most part, the tests are very accurate, up in the over 98 percent certain range, and they will either say you are, and are not. They don't come back 'inconclusive'. As to child support, if the court decides to order it, yes indeed you would have to pay it unless you can prove, by a test, that you are not the father.

The state doesn't do DNA tests for paternity. They cost too much and take too long. They do a blood test that only tells who could or could not be the father, not who IS. So, in reality, they are all inconclusive. I think he's just trying to be a jerk.

have the test done again was it a blood test or a swip of slava test even if it means that you have to pay for the test again out of your pocket you will feel better knowing if you are the father or not also you may want to call and ask a lawer about it i do know also that if it comes back positive then you need to pay child support even if you were never married to the mother

I think he is paying alimony not child support. Better double check your facts. I never heard a judge hand out child support orders with out the child being his.

I would have the test done again to check further. If you think it is possible that this is your child, do the right thing and be a parent. I am not for sure, but I think child support is only for divorced parents.

I don't know how that works, but child support is not only for divorces. Any father that is not with the mother has to pay child support.

i don't think so because it was inconclusive which means they cant tell if you or your brother is the father you may want to get a private lawyer who works for you vs. the state to determine your responsibility
