Parking your car in New York City can be a pretty tricky task. If you are going to see a Broadway show or eat at Time Square in the evening or on the weekend, it can cost a small fortune to park your vehicle, in some cases as high as $63 for 3 hours.
Most of parking lots charge like $7 for 30 mins. However, there are some offer like $10 for up to 10 hours of parking (East or West side and early bird or after 10pm only)

It can range from free if you find a legal parking space (read the signs carefully) to $40 at Lincoln Center. Sometimes it's worth it that your car is parked in a protected, legal area where you don't have to worry about it being towed.
You can't take public transportation? If coming from the suburbs, is there no safe Park-n-Ride? No parking on-site at your hotel?
If you're just going for the day, train and bus. Nighttime, if you can't find a legal street spot, pay from $20- 40+, depending on the neighborhood and length of time.

1- Yeah, good luck with finding parking in Manhatten
2- It is insanely expensive. There is no need to have a car in Manhatten anyway, but if you bring it, it ranges from 40-60 dollars per day.

Expensive! But parking in SoHo is way cheaper and you can take the subway into where you want to go. Like $25 a day in SoHo in a garage.

About $35 a day... but if you have an SUV it will be more like $45.
That is for overnight.
