I tried working at an onion ring factory and I hated it.The reason why i hated it was becuse there are no air conditioners in onion ring factorys and when the rings are coming by you.. and you hot and sweaty and the SWEAT runs off your arms your nose your head and all your other parts that are sweating.. Are going on to the onion ring! YUCK! so just think next time you eat an onion ring keep in mind that you are eating someones sweat that you don't know! YUCK!!!lol.. tell me if you agree with this.. Do you think it's nasty or do you think it's fine to eat SWEAT.. explain your answer please.. and i don't work at the factory anymore because of that reason... So please tell me your expression of this!!! thanks..

Well... what are we ever really eating? There's a statistic out there that says that in an average year, we all consume about 2 pounds of bug parts - I'll take the sweat, thanks!

Really, though, just about any processed food is going to be the same. I went to the chocolate factory a while ago and wasn't terribly impressed with the state of the place - but I can't say I've stopped eating chocolate.

We really just all need to stop being so squeamish, I think. Although I concur with feathereafter - I don't want to know what's in MY hot dogs, either!

i would've thought it would be against health and safety regulations to have all employees too hot- in the UK we had a recent heatwave where it was hotter here than in Florida and on the news an office block's air con. was broken and they weren't allowed to make their employees wear a tie or a jacket because they'd be too hot.
anyways, if you're too hot AND you're getting sweat all over the food that's double badness from the company and you should probably call the health and safety inspectors on them cuz i don't think that's very safe.
sweat actually contains urea, which is what urine gets it's name from, and the reason we need to excrete it is that it contains poisonous chemicals. so if an onion ring is coated in sweat, yes it is gross to eat it, because it contains mild doses of poison, and not just any poison, but poison which has been excreted from the human body. how gross is that?

thank you... i'll never eat onion rings again.

i'd just like to add, there may be sh*t on meat, but the only thing harmful to you in sh*t is the bacteria, which gets killed by the heat when you cook it. and some things might have bugs in them, but bugs are actually quite good for you, again, the only harmful thing is bacteria, which isn't a problem as long as it gets cooked.
the problem with the chemicals in sweat is that you can't cook them to death. they're still harmful after cooking, and that's why it's so gross. at least it is to me.

must also be really gross to work in a place like that. no wonder you quit! i would, too. sweating all day is bad for your health.

Wow, I don't eat store bought onion rings. I just wonder if the same is true for other food products. You definately should report this to the FDA and to your Labor Board, because first of all you should not have to work under those conditions.

If they fry the sweat onion ring after making it then yeah I'm eating it!
I'm not making the things homemade everytime I go to eat them. Takes too long. Yum I love sweat.

Well I have kissed many girls, so if all the workers in the line were women I might have no problem tasting the onion rings, however because of the way your owners treat you I would boycott that brand.

i've been in restaurant business for over 20 years. I've seen all kind of foregin objects get into food at the restaurant level. I'm not worried at all about a little sweat. That is nothing compared to what gets in at the restaurants. I'm talking about flies, hair(which is known to carry bacteria), fingernails, cigarette butts, staples(from the lettuce box), small stones and worse.....people not washing their hands after they take a crap!!!! That is the worst!!!( and it can make you very ill)

if you analyzed the way food is made and what happens to it, there are soooo many things you wouldn't eat. I'll give my examples:

Ketchup - the first squirt always contains dead bugs in it.
Honey - Pieces of dead bees.
Fast food - Peoples spit and hair.
Corona - human piss.
Seal your own envelopes (the ones you lick, i know this isn't food, but its got to do with your mouth) - Roach droppings (excrement).
Meat - Poop.
Cottage cheese - Molded curdled milk.
Veggies and fruits at walmart - pesticides and wax.

So to answer your question, i think you should just try to put it out of your mind...there is at least one gross thing/weird thing that goes on with any food you eat. Its still gross, but if you think about all that stuff, you would die of starvation.

Yuck, but it's deep fried. Don't eat meat then, because it's covered in $h!!, per the meat inspectors first hand knowledge of what's going on.

ok, i feel just a little ill.... Your body gets rid of sweat for a reason, i don't think you should try putting it back in, especially if it's not even your own sweat.
