The M2 and M240 on the top turret of the M1A1 abrams are manually fired by standing up in the turret and operating the gun. There is an M240, .30 cal machine gun that is mounted co-axially to the main gun tube and can be fired by the gunner using the same controls that operate the turret and fire the main cannon.
