Take this from a seasoned professional.

Stick to one kind of alcohol, Beer, Wine, or Whiskey. Mixing different kinds brings trouble.

First, drink lots of water during and after you're done drinking.

Eat something afterwards, like bread.

Take some Tums or other antacids. To prevent stomach sickness in the morning.

Take a lot of B-vitamins. To replenish what you lost.

Take a couple Ibuprofen. (not good for your liver, but great for preventing headaches).

And finally, get as much sleep as you can.

If you do all of the above, your chances of getting a hangover are very slim.

And trust me, I'm an expert at drinking a LOT.

There's no real way to avoid hangovers. The best you can do is be well hydrated before drinking. Try eating red meat before drinking too. You body works harder at processing the meat than the alcohol. Some people swear by tomato products (tomato juice) the morning after. Continue to drink water in between drinks and in the a.m. Multivitamins with lots of the B's helps.

Eat a good sized meal (not too big, don't get stuffed), drink a glass of water with every drink, and take a couple ibuprofen (NOT tylenol or acetominophen products) before bed. This will help, but depending on how much you drink and how sensitive you are to alcohol, you can't completely prevent one. An extra cup of coffee in the morning with a Rolaids will certainly help.

If you enjoy drinking wine, I have found that the French imported wine, for some reason, never gives me a hang over even if I get carried away and have several glasses. Sometimes my husband and I will just have an evening of sitting on the front porch, and before we know it the bottle is gone, and it never really has any ill effects in the morning!!

Drink water in between your drinks. Eat before you go to sleep. Oh and if you feel like you wanna spew, better do it before you go to sleep otherwise you'll wanna spew all day long the next day! Eating before you go to sleep helps too! And take your vitamins

Don't drink too much. Drink slowly, and eat food so it thins it out, if you know what I'm saying.

I've heard lots of water, and some salt. I don't drink though, so I don't know if it works.
