Wine generally does make people sleep more soundly but if the trouble sleeping is a continuous thing, you need to find something other than wine to help yourself. Do you have any idea why you can't sleep through the night? Any new changes in your life? Is your bed no longer comfortable? I would try to figure out what is causing the problem first before you start drinking wine every night to solve the symptoms of the problem.

Yes it will but don't make a habit of doing it nightly or drinking yourself to sleep. That can cause bigger problems down the road. I like to make a cup of Chamomile Tea. Then take 2 shots of vodka while thinking my tea not one after another but slowly. I fall asleep and get a good nights rest.
Look at this tea below. It works well.

I would not recommend it...

I would try taking a nice hot bath or shower b4 bed...

Also, don't watch TV as you try to go to bed... it over stimulates you.

Also, try not to eat before bed... that will keep you up...

Try yoga or meditation... works wonders.
