Why do you say that? The Buddha would have never attacked another religion or even you after attacking his beliefs.

Is it because Buddhism does not believe in one true God? I view the idea of acceptance as a positive and as a mind-set that does not seperate us like some of the most popular world religions do today. Most religions preach that their God is the only God and the only way to salvation. Some of the most populat religions believe that you are either with them or you are an infidel. Ridiculous!

Remember, most of our wars through history (and still today) were started over restrictive religious beliefs.

Although there is no absolute God in Buddhism, many have interpreted Buddhism as a search for God. The Buddha did not deny the existence of God outright but said that the question of His existence "tends not to edification." That is, those seeking enlightenment need to concentrate on their own spiritual paths themselves rather than relying on outside support (i.e. religion or religious figures).

The Buddha did not claim divinity or even a divine source for his teachings. He saw himself as only an example to fellow monks and compared his teachings to a raft that should be left behind once the other side of the river has been reached.

The Buddha would have never used guilt and fear to coerce anyone to follow his teachings. He would have never told someone to believe in him or "..go straight to hell" (to use your words). So again I ask, "Why do you say that?"

You know, it is this kind of drivel that will drive more people away from Christianity than anything else. Get your facts straight before you start yammering on about something...
Those religions are not "fast reducing", just not too many people practice them in the US.
How could peace and love of every creature be the work of the devil? If anything is the work of the devil, it is phony "Christians" talking about others burning in hell.

I went to a Buddhist church once, and the sermon, which was broadcast live from Tibet (which I thought was so cool), talked about celebrating life, the process of karma, the beauty and reward of kindness to others, and had a segment about meditating, looking within for answers.
hmm yeah guiding people in that method is REALLY the work of the devil.

I don't agree with polytheism (worshipping many gods as in Hinduism) but I do believe that both religions have beneficial doctrines. Who says Christianity or Islam or Judaism are not works of the devil?

Especially considering that all these religions have claimed WARS in the name of religion. It seems that they are the real ones that would be of the devil.

I think that all religions have their problems but I do not believe that any one of them are works of the devil.

I will not ever believe that someone like the Dahli Lhama who is buddhist will go to hell. And it is not the work of the devil....they are extremely peaceful religions.

You know, if you are trying to look like the good guy, you don't say stuff like this. Also, this is a statement, not a question, and it is a drastic generalization.
