Yes. The original Christians there were called the Nestorians. They were a group of Syrian churches that split off from the orthodox church at the council of Chalcedon I think it was. They were considered as heretics by the mainstream church however if you look at the beliefs of the nestorians in China, there isn't much of a trace of heresy at all. There were lots of Christian traders that plyed the silk road all the way to Chang'an in China (Chan'an was the capital during the Tang dynasty located roughly wear todays Xian is). They would settle down and set up monastries along the road. The nestorian monument in Xian shows this history at the far end of the silk road. Other nestorian relics have been found all along the silk road. I think in the 9th century they were chased out though, but they still retained a presence amoungst the Uyghurs for a while (at least up until the time of the Yuan dynasty when the Jesuits came in) as well as in a few more isolated places in NW China.
edits: and yes there has always been Chinese Christians since the 5th century, both amongst the nestorians early on and now as distinct groups in their own right.
No there hasn't been Christians there since 34 AD, people don't travel that fast, the far corners of the world quote didn't mean everywhere, far from it there are still places today that are waiting...

Probably yes. Some people even believe the Temple of Heaven in Beijing is built for worshiping Jesus Christ .
Actually here in China, Christians are becoming more and more even though many Chinese still believe in themselves.

maybe, but the chinese already had a religion, which is why the christians faced persecution, the chinese had buddhism, taoism, and confucianism. so there were no more room for christianity. buddhism did in fact come before christianity.
