On Sunday morning, pastor spoke about Matthew and his background and how God will use even the outcasts of society to proclaim his glory.
Our sunday school is after church, and it was about giving. Not just money, but of your heart and of your time and the spirit in which it should be done.
Sunday night was dedicated to our visiting Missionaries from Bolivia, Trinidad in South America, Wings for Peace, aircraft repair man.
And if you want last wednesday evening bible study, it was about the time line on our tombstones, or rather the dash inbetween the time line. This little dash represents our life, how did we spend the dash?

Well, yesterday I did not attend Church. My husband and I chose to enjoy the beautiful morning outside doing yard work. For me, that (being out in nature) is spiritual and can bring me closer to God than most services. As far as church service goes, I believe the pastor was finishing up his series on the book of Luke.

I missed Sunday School, but our sermon was on returning to our first love. that point in our relationship with God where he is number one in our lives. where passion for him completely consumes us. where all we want to do is pray and praise and get to know him more. it was geared towards the youth (it was a special youth service) and it was beautiful!

Our sermon was about reading your bible and keeping up in the word. A little dull, but all in all, I got something good out of it

Our Sunday school study was on faith, and the church service was on what we harvest depending on what kind of ground we sow.

Class was about Simon the Zealot and Matthew the tax collector. How without Christ, these two would have hated each other. How Christ transformed them.
Sermon was about knowing who we are and what our purpose is.

Yes, we learned that if you ask, so shall it be given. But I have been praying for my 45 year old mother to stop having cancer for the past 2 years and it's not working. Did they lie to me?

I sure can. The message was on the reality of hell. The pastor mentioned that a lot of people believe in heaven, but they're not willing to accept the concept of hell. But Jesus talked more about hell than he did about heaven--to warn us.
