Hi, I'm a little worried here. I usually don't use public bathrooms but I really needed to do a #2 the other day in a public toilet. When I sat down my genital touched the front inner part of the toilet. It touched for like a second. Could I have attracted HIV/AIDs because of that?

Nope, not unless there was some transmission of fluids (e.g., if there was fresh blood on the toilet that happened to come in contact with a cut on your genitals) -- but there's a very slim chance of that, so I wouldn't worry.

I don't think u could but if ur worried or freaked out about it call the CDC hot line 1-800-CDC-INFO. U probably might not get HIV but u could get an STD/STI. So be more careful when using public bathrooms or any other bathrooms that's not ur own.

- having unprotected sex at the time
- sharing blood products through needles or other blood-to-blood contact
- being born to a mother with AIDS

Probably not. The HIV virus does not live long outside of body fluids. It is quite fragile compared to many other viruses and bacteria. Don't worry about it.

No, you get HIV/AIDS from sexual intercourse, not from touching a toilet if that was the case then the epidemic would be much greater.

No, it's impossible, because AIDS is only obtained through blood transmitssion. If, you genitles where cut, and if the toilet was filled with AIDS infected blood, then maybe you would acquire it. don't worry.

LOL no way you have to have live infected DNA get into your bloodstream and DNA doesnt survive long outside of the body. Dont worry you wont get aids from it.

Only if you have an open wound on your penis and there was contaminated blood or semen on the place your open wound touched the toliet. The odds are slim my friend.
