I am a Caregiver for my Mom. And I have not found any help anywhere. But she doesn't recieve money for a disability because she never worked. She just gets her check that you get when you turn 62 or 65. I really need some help to . Hope you find what you are looking for because it is hard to survive.

I doubt there is any pay for caregivers for a family member over 65. Usually a nursing home is reccomended. I work for a hospital and when you are sick and no one will step up to the plate to care for you. We call in social work services and they arrange nursing home placement. Usually this is not a favorable idea to the pt. We usually have to pre- screen the pt and get medicaide and medicare for them.

That is really hard to get and I do not know why. You can contact a lawyer or social worker, but do not think that you will be getting much at all. I have heard of some folks getting 100 bucks a month!
