Christians and the end of the world?

Question

Christians, if we are living in the end times, than could you please tell me how the prophecies of revelation match up with the world today?

For example:

Who is the antichrist?

Who is the whore of babylon?

What is the "world government" that apporximates the one described in revelation?

The Seven Trumpets? How many have been fulfilled and in what ways?

Etc.

Note: If whynotaskdon answers this, please give me more information than just a link to your website.

The Antichrist is the great religion that does not believe in Jesus as the Christ. ( possibly the man at the head of that religion would also apply )
The whore of Babylon is the world economy as Babylon is the world.
The world government could be the united nations.
Of the seven Trumpets many of the signs that were to be given when they blew have already been given. Earth quakes, Seas leaving bounds, wars, and plagues in more frequency.
Two signs yet to look for are the two witness and the temple in Jerusalem.

Chazzzko's answer is pretty darn close to the version most scholars believe.

There are other views such as the whore on the great beast iis actually America (history repeats itself and what happened humdreds of years ago happens again with a new whore)

Anyway, America is pretty much a nation that spreads it's sin throughout the world.

The scarey part about the anti-christ, is that most will believe it to be christ at first.

The only thing I can say, after what happened at the Gaza strip and how Israel is being threatened on all sides (like the Bible says will happen in the end times). Is that we need to not WONDER if we are in the end times, but prepare ourselves for it, JUST IN CASE we are. Don't wait to run out of gas before you put gas in your car, always be prepared.

The Antichrist so to speak is many things, and everything detestable to God. If your thinking of the number of the beast, 666, this is a metaphor, God uses numbers to represent things, 6 meaning something detestable or irredeemable, 666 is the thing detestable to the third degree, or truly irredeemable.

Babylon is false religions, and the harlot that rides the wild beast is the political system of things or worldly governing bodies. Jesus said, "Be no part of this world...."

The trumpets, well they describe the plagues and disasters to come. Have they sounded, maybe, I believe some have, can't really say if they are to the degree that God has in mind, only he knows.

the antichrist is not a certain person. it is anything that is anti-christ. and mostly everything in secular society is anti-christ.
the whore of babylon is saddam hussein, who believes that he is king nebbuchanezzar incarnate.
the world government is either the US government, or the UN. Most people agree that it is the UN.
And the trumpets.. man.. i read it in the book "are we living in the end times" by Tim Lahaye and Jerry B. Jenkins but I can't remmebr what they were........ good book by the way, some of the stuff si kinda..... weird but some of it is good.

It's not a grocery list to be checked off...LOL Besides, a great deal of it was written in code so that if the letters were intercepted they wouldn't know what was being said. To this day scholars still argue over the meaning behind revelations. It's a very confusing text to read, but full of great visuals.

anti christ comes after the rapture, whore of babylon is beleived to be the catholic church, and the world government comes later also.....

In the past century war has broken out all over the world like never before.....science believes they are getting closer to proving there is no God, and all kinds of death rates are on the rise............something is definately definately about to happen

all of that stuff happens at once and anyone who says we are in the end of times has no idea what they are talking about because no one knows when it will all be over. people can think all they want, but don't take them seriously because they have no idea. God says in the bible that the only person who will know when the end of the world is is Him. when it happens, there will be no question in anyone's mind that's it's happening.

i think it is the pope and catholocism because he tries to assume the power of God by saying that he can forgive sins and change Gods law = no man can change Gods law and no one except God can forgive sins a man is a man and nothing else
May you find the truth keep studying and praying and God will reveal the answers to you when the bible gives the description of the beast think carefully about who it reminds you of...... he will seek to change times and laws......the bible is real and can be taken litterally if you know what the symbols mean and they can be found by using the bible to interpret itself i believe because im searching also the book of revelation....... may holy spirit lead you into all truth God bless ...... many are called but few are chosen.....

Someone is always saying it is the end of the world and as you know at some point and time someone is going to say that and it will be true.
