I had 5 teeth surgically removed from my jaw.
Braces twice
And a life long retainer.
Love my teeth.
No ear pain.
Professional appearance in interviews
Great smile for pictures
Helpful in feeling more attractive.
I can't think of any negatives of getting them except the time I wore them...

If you had only an issue with crooked teeth, then braces are optional. If you need molars removed and what-not, what you are dealing with is a misalignment of your jaw, and the braces will correct not only the crooked teeth, but the misalignment as well. They are more than worth it, and if you do as the orthodontist says, they will be on for the minimum amount of time. If you don't follow his/her directions, it will prolong the entire procedure.

yea its worth it, i had braces for 2 1/2 years and i think its worth every penny, afterwards your smile just improves so much and you really dont need to wear retainers for the rest of your life, just at night time until its been 2 years and then you wear it whenever you think your teeth moved

some people think you cant eat when you have braces, its a myth, i could eat as much as i wanted even with my braces
you get stuff stuck in them but then if you rinse your mouth after every meal then youre fine

Four teeth pulled and braces for 3ish years.

It was well worth it. I like to smile now. Oddly enough, I get compliments on my teeth from people at least once a month. :o)

We care way to much about looks over brain and heart, and why would you want to torture yourself over 2 teeth? What's gonna happen when they yellow? And when those dang wisdom teeth come in?Hold off you'll find as you age you'll have more problems than your upper molars.

If you don't wear your retainer after your braces it's a waste. You'll probably only have to wear it when your asleep.

Yes, it is well worth it. Not so many cavities when you can actually floss.
