Now, that's an interesting idea! My guess would be yes, since farts are nice and moist like our breath, but this is one question that I'm not in a position to answer. I live in the tropics, and it never gets cold here.
Several people have tried the experiment and have written to tell me the results. Most people said that they could indeed see their farts, but one person said that he couldn't see it even with his pants off.

Here is what anywhere32 reported: "In the boys' locker room after morning water polo practice it was cold out and one of the players only had on his speedo and let out a fart. About four of us saw it and couldn't contain our laughter for the rest of the day."

No. It's because of the amount of water vapor in your breath that you see it. It's all to do with saturation vapor pressures and stuff like that.

The more moisture and the hotter the air the more chance you'll see 'steam' on a cold day. Unless it was really cold you wouldn't see a fart - same reason that if you open your door to the outside and hot air escapes you don't see great clouds billowing out of your door.

Climb a mountain in Alaska and you'd probably see it. Try it and let me know what happens.

If its a really "wet" fart, yes.

A normal fart is too dry to be noticed. It's the humid air of your breath that you see, which condenses when it hits cold air and becomes water. If a fart is humid or wet enough, then yes you'd see it!!

The answer to your question is no. The reason why you see your breath on a cold day is actually explained very easily. The air outside your mouth is cold. The inside of your mouth is moist and 98 degrees. When you blow air out of your mouth, it turns to steam due to the sudden temp. change.

yes, the reason you see your breath is because the air inside your body is warmer than the air on the outside, therefore you can see it. the same principal would apply if you were to slice a loaf.

you stupid. maybe if you were outside naked on a cold windy day in Chicago probably 25 degrees. then you would either have a person tell you they saw it or you have your head stuck up your butt. What a meaningless answer.
