They might stay to the side better if you let them grow a little longer. Mine are down to my lips when straight and they always stay to the side. When I leave them wavy they come down to about the bottom of my eyes and get in my face sometimes.

I just cut my bangs to around the same way u did. What i do to be just right and straight, i comb it to the side and i just hair spray. Then, i leave it their for a while. And then, like in an hour, i pull it off and its all nice and straight. Because if u blow dry it with a round brush, it wont be all nice and stuff. Specially since its small.

I have side bangs, and they stay that way because of product and blow drying. You can't really cut them or "teach" them to go in a certain direction, you just have to make them stay with heat and goo.

i know the look you're going for.. you need to use a blow dryer and a round brush to get that side bang effect... place your wet or dry bangs on a round brush, turn your blowdryer on and blowdry downwards on the round brush with the hair, while rolling the round brush outward... this should create a curve to your bangs and yeah

Is there any way to pin them back with something pretty? or curl them back.
You might try to layer just part of them and not grow all of them out at one time.
I would however go for just toughing it out and do it all at once.
You might try those cute headbands that have all kinds of things like studs and stuff on them

Blow dry them to the right side every day, and you'll eventually train them to go that way. That's exactly what mine do.
