Did you run into something? Have you put ice on it? Ice first to dull the paina nd make the sweeling go down Try to stay off your foot. Get a cane or crutches. If you have the money and the insureance go to the doctor.

wrap your foot, keep off it, ice it and use this method for icing remember C-BAN (Cold, Burn, Ache, Numb) you have to go though all those phases while icing it and then take it off as soon as it is numb. Dont Ice again until its back to normal temp and colour and full feeling. Elevate it as much and as often as possible. And keep it compressed but not too tight just enough for a little pressure on it.

ice it in a big bucket of ice and cold water at the same time for 5 min. That is what u do my dad had to do that and it worked in 4 days

It depends why it is swollen. Injury, infection, or don't know.
The best thing to do would be to see a dr. If it is an injury, ice it. If you think it is broken, tape it to another toe for support.
