Buy some brick mozzarella cheese, some eggs and some seasoned bread crumbs. Cut the cheese into even thick sticks. Pour some flour into a bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Make an egg wash by cracking some eggs into a bowl, add a little bit of water, season to taste with salt and pepper and whisk with a whisk. Pour some breadcrumbs into another bowl. Line a cookie sheet with some parchment paper or foil. Dip the cheese sticks into the egg mixture and then into the breadcrumbs. Cover all the sides of the cheese with the breadcrumbs. Once a single layer of cheese sticks has been formed on the sheet pan, freeze them until you're ready to cook. You don't need a deep fryer. Just a big pot with vegetable oil. Heat up the oil and fry them until they're nice and golden brown. Serve with your favorite marinara sauce. I've added a recipe for you if you need measurements. This recipe omits the flour, which will make the mozzarella sticks lighter.

It is a simple recipe. Get some mozarella sticks, an egg, and bread crumbs. Crack the egg in a bowl and scramble it. Then dip the mozarella into the egg and then coat the sticks with bread crumbs. Then put the bread crumb coated sticks in the freezer until they get firm. You can use a skillet or a big pot to fry them in instead of a deep fryer. Take the frozen sticks out of the freezer and pop them into the hot oil in the skillet or pot. Then cook until golden brown.

you dont need a fryer..any pans will do:)
1 1/2 cups Italian-style dried breadcrumbs
1 1/3 cups freshly grated Parmesan
1 teaspoon salt
2 (16-ounce) blocks pasteurized mozzarella cut into 4 by 1/2-inch sticks
4 large eggs, beaten to blend
1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
4 cups Marinara Sauce, recipe follows
Stir the bread crumbs, 1 cup of Parmesan and 1 teaspoon of salt in a medium bowl to blend. Dip the cheese in the eggs to coat completely and allow the excess egg to drip back into the bowl. Coat the cheese in the bread crumb mixture, patting to adhere and coat completely. Place the cheese sticks on a baking sheet. Repeat dipping the cheese sticks in the egg and bread crumb mixture to coat a second time. Cover and freeze until frozen, about 2 hours and up to 2 days.
Heat the oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Working in batches, fry the cheese until golden brown, about 1 minute per side. Transfer the fried cheese to plates. Sprinkle with the remaining cheese and serve with the Marinara Sauce.
Marinara Sauce:
1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
2 small onions, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
2 stalks celery, finely chopped
2 carrots, peeled and finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon sea salt, plus more to taste
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, plus more to taste
2 (32 ounce) cans crushed tomatoes
2 dried bay leaves
In a large casserole pot, heat the oil over a medium-high flame. Add the onions and garlic and saute until the onions are translucent, about 10 minutes. Add the celery, carrots, and 1/2 teaspoon of each salt and pepper. Saute until all the vegetables are soft, about 10 minutes. Add the tomatoes and bay leaves, and simmer uncovered over low heat until the sauce thickens, about 1 hour. Remove and discard the bay leaf. Season the sauce with more salt and pepper, to taste. (The sauce can be made 1 day ahead. Cool, then cover and refrigerate. Rewarm over medium heat before using.)
You dont have to make the marinara if you dont want to...:)

You don't have to have a deep fryer if you have a deep enough pan. Try buying the mozzarella cheese that's already in the stick form.
Make a wet batter out of flour, salt, garlic powder, buttermilk, and paprika. Dip the cheese in the batter to coat them. Roll in crushed seasoned croutons, and dip again. Coat with crouton crumbs again.
Put them in very hot, very deep oil and cook until they are browned. Don't cook them too long, or they'll begin to leak.
Hope this helps! I'm sorry I never measure, so I'm not sure how much to tell you of each ingredient to use. Just kind of eyeball it. You want your batter pretty thick. :)

i like mozarella sticks A LOT! buy bread crumbs, egg n flour. cut the cheese length twice. roll it into to the bowl of flour (one at a time), dip it in egg (scrambled) then bread crumbs.
don't worry if you dont have a deep fryer at home. you can use a pan and look for a metal strainer w/ fine screen then add oil (1 cup or more). dont over crowd the mozarella sticks when frying.

Go to Sam's Club and buy some. They are only like 10 bucks for a ton of them.
I'm guessing ones that would be made at home wouldnt be as good and would cost you quite a bit for all of the stuff that you would need to make them (deep fryer included).
