If Jewish people weren't in Jerusalem, than Jesus wouldn't have been there. He was Jewish. He came to Jerusalem to denounce the Jewish leadership which he thought was corrupt.
As I understand it, his purpose as a human was to die for all humanity, if he wouldn't have died this way, than he wouldn't have repent for every body's sines and the whole purpose of him being on earth would have been missed.
So your question is irrelevant!
Besides, Jews weren't in power, The Romans were. Jews didn't have the power to decided who would live and who would die. The bible was modified to blame the Jews because in 333 AD (about) The Roman Empire excepted Christianity as its formal religion and couldn't see it's former representative (Pontios Pilatus) guilty in killing their God so they blame the Jews (what's new).

Jesus was crucified not because the Jews were after him, but because he was advocating something which was not acceptable to the vast majority in the society. Jesus himself was a Jew and his first 12 disciples were all Jews. So, it was intolerance towards dissidence for which Jesus was tried and was awarded a punishment in accordance with the system prevailing then in Jerusalem. It was an internal matter within Jewish society, but in course of time by missionary publicity and conversion Jesus has become larger than life with followers of his teaching now exceeding 3000 millions whole over the world. Even till date the process of conversion continues, for example in Timor, Kosovo, Herzegovina and India. Jesus was basically of Jewish society and was speaking for them. It is like, Buddha was born in India but Buddhism survives out side India due to missionary publicity during Asoka' s time.

the tribes are tied to the City - specifically Judah, Benjamin and the Levites.
Yeshua wouldn't have been there without them. He is the Messiah. It was also so major prophecies of the Old Testament could be fullfilled to the people first promised.

Jesus was doomed the day he was born. God sent him here to try and get us back to Gods will. He was sent here to die for us. He even cryed the night befor his death"if their be someone else to do this send them"He then said "father thy wil be done" after he realized only he could save the world. The Jews were just the tool God used to fulfill his word.
