I have lived in America my whole life. And until illegal immigration became a political issue I don't think a single American ever gave it much thought. So I don't think the American people are against it as much as you think. I believe 99% of immigrants coming to America are good people. However I don't see whats wrong with coming to America legally. We are in a war and I don't see whats wrong with knowing who is entering the country. My family has called American home for over 200 years and we have a right to protect it. I think most of the American population is against the war in Iraq. Hopefully this coming up election the people will speak their minds and put someone in office who will know how to better with the difficult situations in the Middle East. The one thing that Americans do believe is don't believe everything you read. Because most of it ain't true.

Don't think you can actually compare illegal aliens and the US economy with what Bush is doing to Iraq. Perhaps if other countries would do their part and help in the Middle East or to help make their own economy strong enough that their citizens don't have to go elsewhere to make a living, you wouldn't have to complain now would you?

Well, on another note, I'd like someone to answer this question somewhat in line with yours. If americans are so against the illegals and claiming they are "bringing down the economy" WHY do they not get all upset about the corporations EXPORTING our jobs and the politicians that give those corporations an open door to do so???? HUMMMMMMMMMMM??? that does more damage to the economy than any illegal ever will.

Here the standards are different
If a rich corporation get a subsidy or a giveaway from the governement that is ok. But blame the poor welfare

When rich corporations hire foreigners with h1 visa or export high paying job that is ok. But if a commoner hires an illegals below a minimum wage on the street corner that is BAD

So get it

Answer your question with a question....
Why are there so many people from the Middle East living in America? I know so many from Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan,
India.
Our government pays them to live here but make US citizens pay to live here....it's called taxes, not a small-business grant.
Did you forget the terrorist attack on 9/11 on America.
Did you think we'd not fight back?
