It was a B735. KEWR-KCLE.

Also, could you let me know how to find this information so I could do so myself in future if necessary. Thank you!

I'm asking because I've taken Continental a lot and want to see if I've ever been on the same plane twice. I didn't get a chance to see the registration of this plane, however.

I'm usually able to see the number when looking out the window at the gate, at the rear or sometimes above the nose wheel. Unfortunately it was night at the time.

Short of finding someone who's either a dispatcher or something like that for Continental, you probably won't find what you're looking for. The airplane is a Boeing 737-524 (the -500 series model purchased by Continental); the airlines typically abbreviate the airplane model like that.

Airliners.net has a total of 134 photos of Continental 737-300/-400/-500s at Newark. It's got to be one of those. Looking at the photos and comparing the numbers on the nose landing gear doors with the registration numbers, apparently all of Continental's 737-524s have registration numbers that have a '6' in the 3rd position (for example, N23661, N16650, N14613, and N37615 are all Continental 737-524s). So . . . to keep tabs on the ones you've flown, all you'd need to see are those last two numbers on the NLG doors, as long as you're sure it's a 737-500 series airplane.

The 'real' registration is on the lower fuselage, below and forward of the aft entry / aft galley doors (depending, of course, on which side of the airplane you're talking about).

The first link below is to the Airliners.net website search function; I couldn't like directly to a page showing the Continental 737-524s at Newark, so if you'd like to see them, you'll have to manually enter the search criteria yourself.

The second one is a good shot of N14346, where you can clearly see the location of the registration number as well as the nose number. I notice also that Continental puts the nose number above and aft of the aft entry / aft galley doors, which gives you another place to look.

The regitration number is painted near the elevators, on the window side of the aircraft (below the rudder and next to the rear door)...like VT-JSI or similar...I suggest you better go to the site below..................
