When you go to bed, you should first make sure that your dog has all the things that she needs to make it through the night - water, food, and has already gone potty.
If your dog continues to whine or otherwise keep you up at night, she may just be trying to get attention. I know it's hard, but you just have to ignore her. If you continue to give your dog attention everytime she makes noise, then she will think that that's the best way to get attention from you, and she will continue doing that. Contrary to what you think, your dog is not a helpless animal that cannot make it through the night alone. She has merely figured out that by making you feel sorry for her, she can get more attention. After a few nights of ignoring her, she will learn that whining isn't going to get her anything and will just stop.
I'm speaking from experience...I have two dogs that I used to let run around the house at all times, but when they started peeing/pooping on everything, we put them in a caged area. They would whine and make a lot of noise, and I used to feel bad and play with them several times during the night, but the whining would never stop. I then ignored the whining for a few nights straight, and it died down.
Hang in there! Use earplugs if you need.

Give your dog plenty of exercise during the day, then she should be tired by bedtime. I give my dog a good dinner. Mind sleep better with a full tummy. There's also toys like tongs that they can chew and entertain for a long time. After a while, she'll get frustrated and go to sleep.
But if you really cannot care for the dog you should tell your aunt and find her a more suitable home. Education is always before pet. I'm sure she'll understand. Good luk...

why do you walk her?.. the dog?... is the dog always ahead of you when shes on her leash. Because that means she has control over you. I think you need to take control over her. BY forcing her to walk behimd of you you can do this by stopping whenever she is walking in front of you. Until she obeys you. Dont pet her or play with her unless she does what you ask her to do. I think shes more of a spoiled dog. Ask your aunt to not giver her much attention when she has behave wrong. Now, if this does not work you better talk to your aunt maybe shes way out of control and you just cant fix it because your aunt has her very spoiled. That is not your problem. YOu should give your aunt an ultimate its you or the Dog.

If you feel that way then I personally don't think you should have the dog. To make the dog sleep through the night she needs lots of exercise.

How old is this dog?? If its a puppy then yes it will need to go out to pee during the night, but it will grow out of it. If its an adult then if you let it out before you go to bed then it shouldn't have to go out during the night. If its an adult at its whining at night then tell it to stop or say no and don't take it out. It will get the clue eventually.
