No, not in the slightest, I would say I could almost look forward to it, in the respect that I will spend eternity with my loving God.
The fear of death, is more the fear of the unkown, and I put it to you that if you are afraid of dying, because you don't know what will happen afterwards, perhaps something is telling you that something will be happening afterwards.
Quite why anyone would be afraid of dying I fail to understand. Perhaps upset, for not being able to live anymore and not for being with your family and friends etc, but not really afraid.
The christian is not afraid for they know that they will spend life in heaven (similar message applies for other religions) and the atheist is not afraid because they know that nothing will happen afterwards. Maybe that is a bit too simplified, but I think that that is the jist of it.

Right now while I'm healthy and everything is fine, I'm not afraid of dying. If I were suddenly struck with a fatal illness, I'm sure I would feel fear of the unknown ahead of me.
I would be afraid of not being able to breathe and afraid of possible pain and mostly afraid that I would never again see any of my loved ones and would soon be forgotten as if I never existed.
So, nope, I'm not afraid.............not afraid of going to hell or any of those things we've debated all our lives.
I just want to stay here where it's nice and real - and sometimes really exciting.

I am not afraid of dying because I know that there is life after death. I believe that one day I will be in Heaven with God. If you believe that everything that is in the Bible to be true, then you also know that Heaven is so beautiful that words can hardly describe it. I know that one day I will be in a place where there will no longer be death, killing, sickness, hatred, hunger and all other things that are of this world.

In a way I am. I am not afraid of dying because I am afraid of going to Hell since I don't believe in it, except the one in Michigan. I am afraid because my children are so young and need me. My husband works two jobs so he is not home a lot. I stay at home and I home school them too. They are all attached to me but love to get away too. If I even go take a nap when daddy is there, they run to hug me when I get up like they hadn't seen me all day.

No, I'm not at all afraid of dying. I know I'll be in Heaven with My Lord and Savior. My concern, especially if I die in the near future, would be leaving my family. But I believe that God knows best, and will do what He knows is right, at the right time.

I am almost 52 years old. My answer to that question was different 25 years ago but now my answer is, I am afraid of dying before I finish my life's work. I want to leave behind me a life of purpose and good. I don't fear death because I think that there are people who were in my life who will welcome me. I think that even my old pets will be there to great me as I pass through the light.

Well every human is naturally afraid of dying, thats why you avoid things like jumping into a pit of fire, or slitting your throat.
The whole reason people have the ablity to get hurt is so they know to avoid death.
Personally, I guess I'm afraid of dying, but I'm still willing to take chances.

Yes, I used to be. But now am seeing that dying is not so bad after all. It just means an end to this misery here on earth and hopefuly a new future life or place to go.
What is the worse that can happen, after you die you will have no recollection of anything. You will not even exist.

No I am not afraid of dying.Dying is our God's decree. No one know when ,where and what its cause ,the angle will take our spirit and soul out of our bodies. All human beings will die wanting or not wanting, afraid or not afraid it.The time can not be delayed or prolonged in seconds. But we all do not know our God's decrees each one exactly. So we must be ready each time to go to alam barzah or a waiting room before we are judged by our God after resurrection..We can not avoiding of dying. We can only preparing it as best as we can in this earth. We can invest everything in this earth as as a provisions or victuals in our eternal life after we died. Our provisions such as are transforming our good knowledges to others who will receive its benefit,help-
ing others with our money or wealth, developing schools and its equipments and making mosques, praying to our God on time, obeying to God's instructions and prohibitions as stated on the holy Al Qur'an in our daily lives etc.Dying is not in line with our ages.Every day there are many people died a baby,a child before grown up,a grown up and the old and very old persons.Sometimes a grand child died but his/her grandfather/mother is still alive.God gives some someone a long life for dedicating his/her life for God.God gives them an enough time to ask for forgiveness . God gives a chance to us for making good preparation for eternal life..We live in this earth in a short time temporarily like a show which has an end.

I think I'm more afraid of the pain of losing the people I love. Yeah, dying might hurt but then it's over. The pain of a family member's death won't go away for a long time.
