Hunny, Just find someone that can show you a car that they
have tinted, look for a nice clean look w/o ANY small bubbles, nice clean cut edges and also a LIFETIME WARRANTY on film/tint.....3M and LLUMAR are the best brands of tint/film.
Also gray is usually the color of choice. And there are different shades....5% is the darkest and also illegal in most states and then it goes to 15% 20%, 35%, 50%.....The lower the number the darker the tint. Also remember the darker the tint is the harder it is to see out at night.
All window tinting has life spans. Your cheaper economy versions usually will last you like in Texas, FL, AR... 2 to 4 years if you're lucky ( depending on who's putting the window tinting on ) Recommendation look, search and compare. Llumar window films with different warranties for different needs. Naturally everyone you talk to is going to tell you that their product is the best. What I tell you is that I have seem all sorts of films over the years and I like how the Llumar window film holds up over time. If you choose cheap You may win in to the short term by doing this, but never in the long run. and ( all depends how long you will keep the car )
Good Luck!!!

Tinting is cool and it keeps the sun out pretty well, also I've owned a white ford probe and I tinted it until an accident took it away from me, I owned my probe for six years payed the loan off and the tint still lasted. I now own a ford focus and it is tinted as well red with all tinted windows, it is a grand life.

tint the windows with actual tint it costs more but looks beter than the film crap which can often bubble later on down the road, if you go with a dark tint is good too will help keep your inside of you car cooler as well. or you can go crazy about it and go with a reddish tint to match the color.

I'm not a guy but I know about cars. Definitely tint the windows, it is worth the money, for cutting down on heat & it's more private, & it just looks better. Do it & don't use windex on it, it will last longer. Oh & the shoe polish thing, be careful about that, if some one should happen to do that to you, wash it off immediately!!!

tint them, but not for 150 bucks.
go to walmart, or any hardware store that sells car accessories, and buy some do-it-yourself tint for 20 bucks, then get someone who knows what they are doing to put it in for you.
get like midnight black tint, it'll look sweet.
oh.. and just get the back side and rear windows done. dont tint the front windshield or the drivers/passengers windows.
it gives you privacy for doin it in the back seat.
I have super-limo black(like 80%) on the sides and rear of my car, i get pulled over all the time for speeding/spinning and minor traffic violations, i think i've been pulled over like 5 times in this car, not once have the police said anything about my tint, because it IS legal, as long as its not in the front of the car.

It is illegal in most states to have more than 30% tint on your windshield and front windows. Most SUVs and vans have 70% tint on the side and rear windows and 30% front and front side.
The guy that works at the autoparts store is right.
...and what's this "just a girl" crap???

First,,,make sure it is legal in your state to have tinted windows,,,more and more state's are getting downright testy with this.
Then consider your color options for tint,,,,,, and oh ya !!,,, do not tint the front windshield !!!.
$150 doesnt sound too bad for a complete tint job.

Don't do it. It's illegal. You might not get ticketed at first, but eventually some cop is going to be in a bad mood and want to give you a ticket. And the worst part is, if you don't get the tinting removed (which I would imagine is also expensive) you could just keep getting ticketed over and over again. Not worth it.
