Proof Of Citizenship From An Individual
During An Investigation
Then Shouldn't It Be Mandatory
(Kinda Like MIRANDA)
For The Question Of Citizenship Status To Be Resolved
Early In ALL Law Enforcement Investigations
Throughout The Nation As Standard Procedure??
That Way, RACIAL PROFILING Will Not Be An Issue

At this point this country really needs to do more, illegals have been treated with kid gloves to long and it's time for us to start taking care of our own country. Mexico demands these things as they have their laws we as a country have ours and pro illegals will just have to accept the fact that every last illegal is not a misunderstood saint and that yes they do break the laws and yes police must be able to prove who is who and yes we have to be able to detain and hold and deport anyone at any time in the country illegally . After seeing these illegals marching in the streets with Mexican flags, I lost my compassion for them. Poverty is not a excuse to break the law.

I do not think that this is so, for the law enforcement to ask for your citizenship, cause the citizenship itself contained particulars about yourself such as your home address, etc.
Why do we need a citizenship, cause it will differentiate who we are and where we are from, it a very important piece of our self, without it we cannot goes anywhere and identify our self if we are in trouble.
When does racist come about, I would said if they started talking abusive about where you are from, remarks unrelated to the circumstances, discriminating against a group or religions.
But beside that it just part and parcels of their Job, they have the every right to demand your citizenship particulars, not that they wanted to humiliated anyone, but to ensure and know who you are.
ID thief are also very common and it also a major problems world wide, I sure that you do not want to incurred problem because someone has the ID particulars as your.

Law Enforcement has a right to ask for any proof that is needed..now a days there is too much going on for them not to ask..if you don't have your drivers lic. with you that is going to give me if I were the law "just cause" to ask for the next best thing..Law Enforcement has a hard job any way..and now a days for them to have to make a quick call in if this person is legal or not could cost alot of life's..I see we are losing more and more of our Freedoms to this..what else is left to do at this point...??

It is illegal to ask if someone is a citizen of this country. But a person can ask for proof of work eligibility. The officers can ask for proof of right to be in this country - this would include visa info, drivers license, social security card, or anything else that would qualify. If a person can not prove this, then they should be detained until finger prints can be run and identification can be verified.

i wouldn't in any respect consent to a request to seek. they are violating your good to privateness whilst they seek without a warrant. the spectacular answer is to in a well mannered way decline the request - as "there is no longer something to discover". in case you do no longer conform to a seek, it relatively is no longer when you consider which you have something to conceal as a results of fact the "officer" above exhibits. it relatively is a thoroughly BS assumption that a typical cop would in all probability have - so what - enable them to get a warrant and teach it - or extra advantageous yet they seek when you refuse and function all data discarded in courtroom for unlawful seek and siezure - notwithstanding if it relatively is a corpse with the knife nevertheless in it with your fingerprints throughout it. i'm thoroughly unwell of this society thinking it relatively is alright to violate further and extra of my/our own freedoms.

My tribal identification card, which I am required by law to have upon my person at all times, states my tribal affiliation. So there is no need for a law enforcement officer to ask if I am an American. If I were asked my citizenship status, I would proudly proclaim that I am an American, and happily provide proof.
Whenever I travel, I carry my birth certificate, tribal CIB document, s.s. card, which is not to be used for identification purposes. And other documents which will prove my citizenship status, tribal enrollment, date of birth, and any other questions which may be asked of me by official personnell.
I do not believe that it is "Racist" to be able to prove your an American citizen.

Do we appease those who claim "RACIAL PROFILING" by inconveniencing the law-abiding citizenry. I think not . . . Why mandate checks 100% of the time on certain aspects of the law if they are not in question in the first place?

So...if some more Saudi terrorists sneak into the country, and TABC checks their ID at a local beer joint, but they can't ask for proof of citizenship, and they go out and blow up a Wal Mart, and kill a zillion people...

That's an excellent idea ... and as you say, would solve a lot of "sensitive" problems .. ask everybody, me, you or anybody else, for proof of citizenship or legal status ... we all have to comply, nobody left out ... I'm all for that ... wonder what slur you'll get for this question?
