It is an example of how far God will put the remembrance of your sins after you ask for forgiveness. The two will never meet.

When you go West you never come to the East. This is not like going North to South. When you go South you will come to a point where you are going North. God has taken your sins as far as the east is from the west if you trust that the Lord Jesus Christ died for your sins. 1 Corinthians 15: 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 1 Corinthians 15: 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

If you could go as far North as the top of the North Pole you would then have to start going South, this is the point, where North and South meet. However if you start going East and never turn around, you will always go East. Same is true with West.

East is one micron of a micron away from west. East is west of another place that is further east. What do you want to know here. Depending on the rest of the paragraph or how it was intended it could mean two different things. Was the bible right in telling us that there is no difference between east and west? Or is it telling you that there is nothing further from one point to another? Is God taking our sins from us further than the East could be from the West, cause that would be fantastic?

What do you want it to mean?

Think hard and learn.

In a way, you could interpret the phrase "as far as the East is from the West" as meaning the circumference of the Earth, which is roughly 40,000 km at the equator. But, now, I hope nobody thinks the Bible was written to be a science textbook; one shouldn't use it as such any more than using a cookbook to understand physical geography.

As far as the east is from the west means? One thing we need to remember is that We Are Speaking of the All Mighty God. He never forgets anything because He is God, but in what was done through His Son Jesus He will forgive you and that Sin will never be mentioned again!! Hope that makes sense....

Yes, I heard this once. East keeps going and going. West keeps going and going. BUT North eventually becomes South and vice-versa.

Isn't it great that God places our sin as far as the East is from the West?

No matter how far you go east, you can still go west. No matter how far west you go you can still go east. So,God was telling us something is eternal. If he had said North to South it wouldn't have worked. You can only go so far north, and there's an end.

Bible also thought earth was flat. so it thought east and west will never meet . Instead they will come to end of the earth if they went to east enough or enough distence in west.
