Like most, I am not sure of the meaning of the question and really what you are asking. Do you mean by it, What if one has a change of heart? Do you mean one who takes a vow is really sacrificing? Do you mean that one can not find self fulfillment in the taking of the vow?

In my opinion like another it seems you have been exposed to the Catholic principles. In my view which I was just yesterday in simple words called very ignorant for holding such a view, a vow of chastity must be a vow of self fulfillment. If it is not, first it is wasted and second the one who did take such is only lying to himself and to His God.

Please do not judge me as passing judgment on another for taking such a vow for if I do I am wrong. I am only stating my view and in it I personally will not take such a vow unless My God did direct me to do it. I say that because I know if My God did direct me to do it and take the vow, My God would by it give me the self fulfillment state of being in existence. Thus I believe if fulfillment is lacking something was not aligned in the past and maybe the one who took such a vow was not listening to the God of the Bible. Now he may have listened to His God, but no to the God I do know OK

You have a great day and think about that with a smile

Yes, because "self-fulfillment" is based off of lust. Lust is anything sexual that does not involve love. It says in the bible that not only is sleeping with a woman you aren't married to adultery, but just looking at one lustily is. Basically, most of American society is centered around lust, and is all against God's wishes.

The only place that any form of sex should take place is between a husband and wife, and even then it should be out of a deep love and affection for one another.

That's a very good question, I've wondered that myself. All I can tell you is that the definition of celibacy is abstaining from marriage and sexual relations.

So what are sexual relations? Opinions differ on that one, but IMO relations refers to relation with another person, can you have a relation with yourself? I don't think so, so I would think that self fulfillment would be allowed.

I was curious about the true meaning of celibacy.. so I looked it up in dictionary and here is what it said

1 : the state of not being married
2 a : abstention from sexual intercourse b : abstention by vow from marriage

No mention of self fufillment...

Matthew 5:33-37
33 Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths: 34 But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne: 35 Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King. 36 Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black. 37 But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.

The Bible declares that a double-minded man is unstable in all of his ways. Do not write a check with your mouth that your soul can't cash.

Sin is sin... No matter if you try to dress it up in religion. You make a vow because you want to do a premeditated sin. (You sound Catholic)

Well, the vow of celibacy specifically refers to remaining unmarried. If it were a vow to refrain from sex, then it would be a vow of chastity.

when an americans slag of "bitching" europeans about WW2 saying they won the war for europe, the fact is, is that prior to pearl harbour the american big banks where one of the financial funders of the NAZI regime. Also american was yet in another economic crises. The war became global "forcing" america to take a more? active role. Incidently, europe was the center of world theatre, a crown america still strives for.
End of WW2 almost ALL countries involved (most in the world!) both axis and allied, owed huge debts to america, thus postponing any economic crises. Incidentily, doesnt this sound familiar for WW1? The cold war, after smashing europe world strangle hold, take down the next threat, communism. Another approaching economic crises brings USA into vietnam, which ended with militaary disaster but economic boost (crises postponment). After smashing the threat of communism, and the money ran out, whats next? OIL power wars, oh and a boost to a yet again waning economy.
Back to WW2 (which I do know about) the americans and Russians where the most vehement pursuers of excecution by "trial" of NAZI war criminals. For the americans this only encompassed the scape goats, the party leaders and those who would not transfer knowledge/skills secretly to them. The main injustice here is that many were imprisoned or executed for war crimes against humanity, almost wholly to do with concentration camp atrociaties and forced labour. The British army exacted revenge on German civilian populations for guerilla action in liberated territories, and they instigated the mass bombing of civilian populations. No war crimes trials. The americans covered up the Japanese atrociaties, which were far worse than the German atrociaties (not to belittle what the Nazis did), in exchange for non destruction of all germ warfare technology and incorporating those same Japanese divisions into the american machine. No war crimes tribunal has ever been set or even suggested and most of those Japanese top brass still own some of the largest industries in both Japanese influenced territories AND america. Look up info on Japanese chemical warfare, unit 100, unit 731and Japanese medical activities within china, manchuria etc.from WW2 era. The americans, after sending Albert Speer to 20 years for accepting responsibility over the forced labour that took place within German industry from 1943-1945, from 1946 introduced and perpetuated forced labour within Germany. Also, which I dont think I need mention, the unacceptably unfair capitulation condition over surrender before deployment of the two a-bombs. The Japs had capitulated in time but due to the total disarray country was left in after concentrated strategic bombings (leading up to the a-bombs deployment, concentrated bombing upon the communication systems) there was no physical way that all of the parties involved in a capitulation statement acceptable by american government could have been mustered in time! And TWO A_BOMBS? Come on, wake up america, you are still doing these things! No war crime trials held. The Russians effected massive genocides of soviets and germans alike during (and since) WW2. No war crimes trials. Out of all the atrociaties from WW2, only that inflicted by the americans is STILL killing and maiming people OVER 50 yrs later! Out of all the countries involved in WW2, only the Germans have since admitted responsibility for thier crimes as a nation, and they were the most manipulated and disillusioned at the time!
Think, no one is innocent but unless one stops ignoring and/or shifting blames, accept national and moral responsibility (after all, we are ALL OF US HUMAN!) then we are ignorant, willfully misguided part of the general problems.

Hope this time you understand my english

You'll have to expand on that question. What do you mean by self fulfillment?
